Add-On Sales up 20%-30% in Five Months!

Overseeing this 16 acre entertainment center and a staff of 150 keeps General Manager Joe Simmons on his toes. Blackbeard’s, has been providing family fun since 1978 and is one of the largest centers of its type in Fresno, California and the Central Valley. From the three 18-hole themed miniature golf courses, arcade games, go-karts, paintball, bumper boats, water slides, batting range, rope course adventure, laser tag to the many types of parties and groups they cater Blackbeard’s is a great resource for family entertainment and special events. This diverse entertainment center supplies fun and diversion to 8,000 to 15,000 customers in any given week.

Party planning is a key offering for Blackbeard’s and they were very interested in the 24/7 online receptionist that the Partywirk’s software offers.

When the party staff leaves Blackbeard’s at 6:00 p.m. the Partywirks online receptionist is still on duty. In fact, she is on duty 24/7, 365 days a year. The addition of the Partywirks online receptionist has provided customers with the option to book online, which is exactly what most busy customers prefer these days. Blackbeard’s now includes the online reservation benefit on all of their marketing media.

Joe is particularly pleased with the increase of 20-30% in add-on sales that have occurred in the five months since using Partywirks.

He said they are now selling items such as balloon bouquets and that add-on orders have increased the per person order of $10.00 to between $11.00 and $14.00! Because of this healthy increase in revenues they are expanding add-on options to increase per ticket revenue even more.

Joe says that he really appreciates the Partywirks online customer service forms such as the questionnaires because he feels he is better able to connect with his clients. With the questionnaires they have created a birthday party club, an email club, and the name of their mascot was voted on using a Partywirks questionnaire. And the winning name was…Captain Patches!

The Blackbeard’s staff has also found the software to be very user-friendly
and one of the staff members who was the least comfortable with computers is now utilizing the system the most efficiently. Joe also likes the fact that customers and party staff receive a confirmation of their online order once it is placed. This leaves no confusion between clients and the party staff as to what was ordered so that expectations are met and exceeded.

In the short five months that Blackbeard’s has been using the Partywirks online receptionist they not only have made booking events more accessible for their clients, they have also streamlined their internal processes, and increased their revenue!
