The Phones Have Stopped Ringing and That’s Good News!

Did you think it would ever be good news to read about phones ringing less?

That is exactly what happened at Skate City & Laser Tag Alley since they decided to change tactics with a new approach….

Here is their story….

General Manager Kyle Cord is pleased that their phones have stopped ringing! Since shifting his party business to Partywirks online booking 4 1/2 short months ago, his orders are now 95% booked online!

This is a huge relief because Kyle wears many hats at their busy Entertainment Center and there are many things to do besides picking up phones and spending hours each day repeating the same answers to the same questions.

Along with birthday parties they offer roller skating, a bounce house, redemption gaming, jungle gym, laser tag and Xbox sports. Their facility is a big part of the community and they cater to family events, church groups, and other celebrations. You can imagine that with all these activities it is rather difficult and distracting to rush to a ringing phone.

Their search for online booking began because he was seeing angry signs from customers when leaving a voice mail, or not leaving a message at all! Because he did not have caller i.d. he could not try and call back prospects that did not bother using their voice mail system. When these customers called back they were mad because they could not get through.

Now, he looks forward to coming in on a Tuesday morning and seeing that he had 4 online party bookings during the past 24 hours! In fact, in 4 ½ months he has received 121 online party bookings which works out to approximately 27 parties per month, and this is his slow season!

As they say a picture is worth a thousand words and Kyle attributes the huge increase in their glow party add-on to the fact that customers can see what it looks like and this generates excitement.  He was also surprised by the large increase in pizza orders when he created an add-on for extra pizzas!  The Partywirks system allows for uploading photos and detailed add-on descriptions which makes a huge difference in upselling.

Easy to use…

They have found the software easy to use which was a concern for them. They had tried the party application from a POS vendor and found it very complicated and not user friendly. “Partywirks is easy to use and comes preloaded with many forms and standardized party questions.” While he was making his decision to use Partywirks he was able to view other similar businesses using the software and he found this really informative.

Helpful assistance and marketing advice…

He also appreciated the marketing advice that his customer support person offered. Tips such as placement of links on their website homepage, book-now buttons, marketing with social media and other suggestions to optimize their online booking capabilities.
